The Successful Applicant
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of clinical social work services at or equivalent to the GS09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: independently providing social work services involving conventional or complicated cases to patients in the area of mental health psychosocial assessments diagnosis and treatment planning education counseling and referral services individual group and family therapy. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience provided it demonstrates the knowledge skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. Completion of three years of progressively higher graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of experience and education may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS: This position has selective placement factors that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. Failure to document the factors in your resume or application documents will result in an ineligible rating. The selective placement factors are: Completion of two years of full time postmasters degree supervised clinical social work experience. Possession of a permanent full and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by a state District of Columbia the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or a territory of the United States.
