The Successful Applicant

This position requires knowledge of intensive psychosocial services and a wide range of skills (casework group work individual and family therapy). The Clinical Practitioner must meet the following requirements: Possess a masterrsquos degree in of the following clinical fields: Marriage and Family therapy from a program accredited by Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education or an equivalent degree OR Social Work from a school accredited by CSEE or an equivalent degree or Psychology from a doctoral program approved by APA or an equivalent degree Eligible for State licensure or state certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner. Licensure shall be completed within a 12 month period. The state licensing or certification requirements include a written examination candidates must have achieve a passing score on that examination. Will promote to GS 11 level pay upon receipt of clinical license. Tier 1: Has initiated and is in the process of completing 2 years (which includes at least 2000 hours full time post masters supervised clinical experience. This position is that of a Tier 1 or Tier III credentialed clinical counselor Knowledge of military lifestyle that furnished the employee with an understanding of the specific demands of military lifestyles such as frequent separations and high stress working environments Ability to present sensitive at times controversial information to groups of people in a clear concise man Knowledge of dynamics and diagnostic skills necessary for family violence identification risk assessment and safety planning. Ability to effective interview and clinically respond to the needs of clients including assessing suicidal and homicidal and substance abuse. Ability to communicate in writing to develop and prepare case management memos correspondence and reports to documents psychosocial assessments treatment plans and CRC/IDC reports to develop lessons plans for briefing and classroom presentations. ldquoTo ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary nationwide injunction which may be supplemented modified or vacated depending on the course of ongoing litigation the Federal Government will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees.
