The Successful Applicant
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing substance abuse treatment or counseling services case management assessment and referral. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. This position requires Selective Factors (screenouts) which will also be used to determine minimum qualification for this position. Applicants not possessing the Selective Factors will be found ineligible for this position. You must provide the supporting documents (e.g. certification license transcripts) with the resume at time of application. Failure to provide will result in an ineligible rating. SELECTIVE FACTOR: Must possess a Substance Abuse Certification (Alcohol and Drug Counselor II OR an International Certification Reciprocity Consortium substance abuse counselor certification OR a state equivalent) acquired through passing a proctored exam from a state or nationally accredited certifying body.
