The Successful Applicant

Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate possesses the following: A Masters degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs or an equivalent degree or a Masters degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education or an equivalent degree or a Masters degree in Social Work from a graduate school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or an equivalent degree or a Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a 1year APA accredited clinical internship. A current valid unrestricted license or certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner in the fields of Licensed Professional Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy Clinical Social Work Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology. Two (2) years fulltime clinical experience post independent licensure or certification. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with family violence such as child physical abuse neglect child sexual abuse and domestic abuse/violence. Knowledge of current professional family dysfunction and family violence trends and research informed practices related to child physical abuse neglect child sexual abuse and domestic abuse/violence. Knowledge of current prevention and intervention skills techniques and theories. Knowledge of family violence program management program planning development and execution. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness and the improvement of complex management processes and systems which have impact on DON or FFSP program goals and objectives. Knowledge of DoD and DON organization operations command structure mission and lifestyle. Knowledge of CNICs organization structure functions and mission. Knowledge of CNICs EEO policy and procedures. Skill in analyzing and interpreting a wide variety of issues and formulating policy or procedural solutions. Skill in establishing long intermediate and short range plans. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g. Word Excel Power Point Outlook). Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently each requiring multiple tasks across different levels of DON. Ability to perform the full range of supervisory duties. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in order to present persuade defend and/or document rationale for command programs and plans.
