The Successful Applicant

To qualify for this position applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement 10/19/2023. TimeInGrade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet timeingrade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS07. For a GS07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS05. The grade may have been in any occupation but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF50 that shows your timeingrade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF50 has an effective date within the past year it may not clearly demonstrate you possess oneyear timeingrade as required by the announcement. In this instance you must provide an additional SF50 that clearly demonstrates oneyear timeingrade. Note: TimeInGrade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: For GS7: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS05 level or equivalent for this position. Qualifying specialized experience includes: reviewing supporting material to determine compliance with regulations and policy requirements assists in planning and implementing program(s) within a medical center setting using creativity to engage employees and community partners in a newly developed program developing training materials for staff educational needs and experience using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness. OR 1 year of graduate level education. For GS9: You must have one full year of specialized experience at the GS7 level that equipped you with the particular knowledge skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying specialized experience includes: reviewing supporting material to determine compliance with regulations and policy requirements assists in planning and implementing program(s) within a medical center setting using creativity to engage employees and community partners in a newly developed program developing training materials for staff educational needs and experience using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness. OR Possess 2 years of progressively higherlevel graduate education leading to a masters degree or masters or equivalent graduate degree that provided the knowledge skills and abilities necessary to do the work. One year of fulltime graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of fulltime study. If that number cannot be obtained from the school 18 semester hours should be considered an academic year of graduate study. (Transcripts Required) Basic Requirements: Specialized Experience: Includes reviewing supporting material to determine compliance with regulations and policy requirements assists in planning and implementing program(s) within a medical center setting using creativity to engage employees and community partners in a newly developed program developing training materials for staff educational needs and experience using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness. OR Education: Masters Degree in behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience: That provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position: Communication Data Management Leadership Technical Competence Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religions spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 3540 hours of work per week. Parttime experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
