The Successful Applicant

Eligibility Requirements: Current students enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited college (including 4year colleges/universities community colleges and junior colleges) professional technical vocational and trade school advanced degree programs or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate. Students must be taking at least halftime course load as defined by your school and remain in good academic standing in accordance with the Pathways Participant Agreement. Students must be enrolled with at least 6 semester hours or 9 credit hours with a GPA of at least 2.0. You may qualify at the GS05 grade level if you fulfill the following qualifications: Successful completion of 4 academic years of post high school leading to a bachelors degree or equivalent degree in behavioral or social science or a related discipline. You may qualify at the GS07 grade level if you fulfill the following qualifications: Successful completed 1 full year of graduate level education in behavioral or social science or a related discipline OR Meets the requirements Superior Academic Achievement: Applicant is in the upper third of the graduating class Has a 3.0 or higher out of 4.0 GPA based on 4 years of education or as computed based on courses during the final 2 years OR 3.5 or higher GPA based on the average of the required courses in the major field of study during the final 2 years of curriculum) and completion of bachelors degree in behavioral or social science or a related discipline. AND You may qualify at the GSGS05 grade level if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS04 grade level in the Federal service: Knowledge of survey data analysis including survey packages (e.g. R) Assisting in preparing written comprehensive professional reports Applying statistical principles in research and studies. You may qualify at the GSGS07 grade level if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS05 grade level in the Federal service: Knowledge of survey data analysis including survey packages (e.g. R) Preparing written comprehensive professional reports Applying statistical principles in research and studies Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
