Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience if qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Social Worker (Family Advocacy): Degree: Masters degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) by developing installation procedures assessing the special needs of the community identifying local and national trends in family violence prevention and treatment developing prevention and education program to inform the community about child and spouse maltreatment developing and publicizing information about child and spouse maltreatment and performing supervisory duties to include assigning and reviewing the work of subordinates developing work performance standards and initiating personnel and position actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS11).
