The Successful Applicant

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience if qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Education Requirement for all applicants: Degree: Must fulfill all of the requirements for the masters degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts). Specialized Experience: One year of experience equivalent to the GS9 level providing preventive intervention services through a home visitation for families who have been assessed to be at risk for child maltreatment and/or domestic violence assessment. Developed Family Care Plans and provides education on a variety of topics such as: family planning proper nutrition information on child abuse and neglect prevention wellbaby care information and the need for Immunizations accident prevention and safety information and stress and anger management. Prepares case management plan and initiates appropriate prevention plans and referrals for therapy with family and others as needed. Conducts pre and postcase risk assessments to include data collection outcome measures statistical analysis for program evaluation. Constructs and maintains statistical data and narrative reports. Substitution of Education: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Social Work or related field. OR Specialized experience as described above but less than one year and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet and the total is at least 100 (To compute the percentage divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
