The Successful Applicant

To be considered for the position you must meet the following: Basic Requirements: Degree: Social Work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the masters degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. AND In addition to meeting the basic requirement applicants must have: Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. OR Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable this experience must have equipped the applicant with specific qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Professional experience working in a clinical social work role in a multidisciplinary environment delivering psychoeducational and behavioral health treatment to a patient population with complex needs (e.g. developed social work programming related behavioral health treatment and continuity of care that could be replicated across the BOP provided individual and group treatment to a population with complex needs conducted needs assessments in order to ensure continuity of care post release from incarceration implemented and facilitated multidisciplinary teams adhere to and model social work code of ethics and standards of professional practice.) Professional experience tracking and reviewing programmatic data and creating policies and procedures (e.g. conducted programmatic assessments to determine relevant metrics compiled information for reporting to internal and external stakeholders assisted in creation of tracking system for programmatic metrics.) Professional experience in the area of policy and procedure development (e.g. created or provided input toward the creation of policies and procedures related to programming/services for populations with complex needs lead or participated in workgroups that lead to development of policies and procedures assisted in the updating and editing of policies and procedures for social work programming.) Professional experience collaborating with high level stake holders and collateral contacts (e.g. testifying in court assisted senior staff during meetings and/or workgroups forged working relationships with agencies and individuals vital to work with complex populations presentations for internal and external stakeholders. AND Selective Placement Factor: Applicants applying for this position MUST also possess the following Selective Factor. In the event you do not possess the Selective Factor you will be found ineligible for the position. Applicant must possess a current valid unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or License Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
