Qualifications with EducationApplicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic AND Specialized Experience Qualification requirements as noted below.You qualify for the GS12 grade level if you possess one of the following: Specialized Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty to the GS11 grade level in the federal service or equivalent public or private sector performing duties such as: Working with biopsychosocial instruments to make assessments and evaluations of mental emotional attitudinal and intellectual status Preparing written case documentation involving multiple dysfunctions Preparing treatment plans that restore patients to their normal work and social environments. AND Basic Requirements: The incumbent must have a masters degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. (You must provide a copy of your transcripts with your application). The incumbent must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare provider certification. This certification shall be maintained in a current status at all times while performing services. (You must provide a copy with your application). The incumbent must possess and maintain a current permanent full and unrestricted license to practice clinical social work independently as recognized in the state licensed whereby clinical supervision is not required. (You must provide a copy with your application) Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of successfully completed posthigh school education and experience. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification. National Service Experience (i.e. volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently or have been within the last 5 years a political Schedule A Schedule C Noncareer SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
