The Successful Applicant
Special Placement Factor: Previous or current experience in conducting or overseeing research in tribal crime tribal justice and/or tribal victimization. Basic Entry Requirements: Degree: behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS12 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: Provides guidance on the development and modification of research programs data analysis and scientific paper writing in the field of tribal crime tribal justice and tribal victimization. Serves as a research expert in tribal crime tribal justice and tribal victimization leading peer review panels and formulating recommendations for funding. Offers research analysis and/or researchbased advice on tribal crime tribal justice and tribal victimization program issues integrating current scientific knowledge and evidence. Reviews and/or conducts complex research analyses evaluations and literature reviews in support of tribal crime tribal justice and tribal victimization research. Analyzes and/or evaluates research conditions concerning goals objectives and tasks to assess the optimal research approaches in relation to tribal crime tribal justice and tribal victimization.
