The Successful Applicant

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual Qualification Standards for Professional and Scientific Positions and Individual Occupational Requirements for GS0185: Social Work Series). BASIC REQUIREMENT FOR ALL GRADES: Degree: Social Work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the MASTERS DEGREE in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: In addition to meeting the basic qualification requirement applicants must have the following: GS12: Qualifying is one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS11 grade level in the Federal service which includes work involving applying practical knowledge in a wide range of social services casework family therapy community organization direct provision of child welfare services maintaining active agency participation in advocacy and intervention programs and the coordination of and required cooperation with allied social service health and other agencies providing counseling services maintaining a formalized case management system which documents the workflow of services with individual case plans providing technical assistance on all aspects of social services programs and activities assisting in developing budgets assisting IIM account holders in the utilization of funds. TELEWORK: The duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
