Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience if qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Education Requirement: Degree: Social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the masters degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to meeting the Basic Requirement above: Experience Requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS12 under the General Schedule or equivalent pay band in other pay systems meeting the following tasks: (1) Planning implementing and/or managing diverse program services with a program such as Family Advocacy Program (FAP) (2) Skill in providing primary secondary and/or tertiary level of prevention services victim advocacy and/or crisis intervention AND (3) Working with issues related to domestic violence and/or child abuse. Specialized experience is experience that includes the following tasks: You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Communications Managing Human Resources Program Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS12).
