Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience if qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Social Worker (Family Advocacy): Degree: Masters degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience performed in the next lower grade (GS11) which includes performing crisis intervention risk and clinical assessments case management command consultation and administrative tasks in child and spouse/intimate partner abuse issues working independently in as a licensed clinical social worker conducting comprehensive rick assessment clinical interviews and psychosocial assessment of children and adults. Licensure/Certification: This position has a licensure requirement. You must provide a copy of your current active valid unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently offered by a U.S. State District of Columbia commonwealth territory or jurisdiction. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS11). Military Members: Resumes will be accepted from members of the Armed Forces who indicate in their applications that they are immediately appointable within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
