Your application and resume must clearly show that you possess the experience requirements. Transcripts must be provided for qualifications based on education. Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement:GS09: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS08 in the Federal service OR Completed at least two (2) years of graduate level education (36 semester or 54 quarter hours) or a masters degree with a major in social or human behavior psychology or counseling OR combinations of graduate level education that is directly related to the position and specialized experience. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge skills and abilities necessary to do the work. Specialized experience is defined as: Reviewing all incident reports and refers to the appropriate level of the Centers disciplinary system for resolution Providing guidance Training and overseeing studentcomposed behavior management councils that handle minor rule infractions pursuant to procedures set forth in the Student Handbook Conducting related investigations to determine relative facts and to decide whether the charge is founded and Attending local court proceedings with accused students to provide support and to inform them in resolving judicial processes. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
