The Successful Applicant

To qualify for this GS12 position the applicant must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at or equivalent to the Federal GS11 level (or above) which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience must include ALL of the following:A) developing examining investigating adjudicating authorizing or otherwise administering claims for medical disability programsB) applying vocational policies regarding the ability to perform past and other work in making disability determinations and C) making final medical and vocational disability determinations at the initial reconsideration or continuing disability review level.Examples of such experience may include but is not limited to: providing medical disability training or managing/supervising a medical disability unit applying knowledge of medical disabilities medical terms and findings causes of diseases treatment methods and probable results of treatment in making determinations or adjudicating claims analyzing the relation of physical impairments to ability in order to determine an individuals functional capacity. developing and evaluating pertinent medical facts and evidence to apply and interpret state and federal laws regulations policies precedents and other criteria for physical and mental impairment disability cases ALL of this specialized experience is REQUIRED and must be explicitly documented/described in your resume or you will be disqualified from further consideration.
