The Successful Applicant

Only experience and education obtained by 01/26/2024 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification. Minimum Qualification GS5 One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS4 level in the federal service. Examples of qualifying Specialized experience include: group leader in a community or residential recreation or training program youth summer camp counselor job skills trainer work that demonstrated the ability to lead and train members of a job crew group activities leader in the Armed Services unit leader for a dormitory group in a residential facility assistant to associate staff engaged in work of a social services nature such as drug/alcohol addiction or other directly related to the duties of the position. NOTE: Your resume must clearly provide sufficient detail proving your performance of these duties to be found qualified . OR Successful completion of a full 4year course of study leading to a bachelors degree that (a) included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of subjects directly related to the work of the position (b) included a major in social behavior or health care or (c) was supplemented by experience in activities that afforded the opportunity to acquire and demonstrate the skills required by the position. You must submit a copy of your transcripts to qualify on education. OR A combination of education and experience as described in 1 and 2 above which together equals 100 of the requirement Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
