APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Title 5 Excepted Service position in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: NonBargaining Position AOC A: NG employees at the 171st ARW AOC B: NG employees in the 171st Air Refueling Wing (This includes 258th ATCS 146 Weather Flight 146 ARS and 147 ARS) AOC C: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC D: All Service Members of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC E: Federal Employees in an Agency outside of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC F: U.S. Citizen Applicants Supervisor for this position is Lt Col Lindsay Jones. Manpower : 01075543 NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Tier 3 Security Clearance. License Requirement: Applicant must have a current unrestricted State license to practice clinical social work independently. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of social work theories principles techniques and resources is mandatory. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must indicate at least 36 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. Completion of the Air Force Social Work Internship Program may be substituted for 12 months of the specialized experience requirement. This experience demonstrates particular competencies of knowledge skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have specialized experience in professional social work that includes interviewing people to establish the nature and extent of their problems helping them workout plans for improving the situation providing assistance and services referring them to community resources and other organizations as indicated and assisting them to understand and modify their own patterns of behavior when appropriate. Except as stated above no other substitution of education for specialized experience is allowed. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual however established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicants record of experience training and education must show possession of the knowledge skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
