AREA OF CONSIDERATION:NonBargaining PositionOpen to the Public Supervisor for this position is MAJ Renninger Educational Requirement: Masters degree in social work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education License Requirement: Applicant must have a current unrestricted State license to practice clinical social work independently SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must indicate at least 36 months experience in clinical social work assignments. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be further evaluated by the nominating supervisor based on the following competencies considered essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Knowledge of the principles theories procedures and practices of social work to conduct needs assessments and evaluations on a limited but routine basis in accordance with applicable DoD guidelines. Knowledge of general and specific concepts principles procedures and practices relating to psychological assessments. Knowledge of an administrative clerical scientific or technical nature. Knowledge of the principles and practices of social work in the performance of such assignments as providing direct services to individuals and families including work with individuals in groups. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual however established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicants record of experience training and education must show possession of the knowledge skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled. SPECIAL NOTE: Per the Labor Relations Management Agreement if there are more than 15 qualified applicants for each position by category a KSA board will be convened in accordance with Section 17.8 of the LMRA.
