In order to qualify for the GS13 you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS12 grade level in the Federal government obtained in either the private or public sector to include: 1) Coordinate the planning development design and implementation of healthcare research projects related to Medicaid and CHIP or an equivalent national level program including providing answers to technical questions and responding to data requests and reviewing data for data quality issues 2) Advising on data collection data quality and data reporting including providing technical assistance to states and other stakeholders on submitting and using Medicaid and CHIP data or an equivalent national level program AND 3) Experience drafting various communication documents to collect review evaluate and report on data for Medicaid and CHIP or an equivalent national program. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
