Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience if qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirements for Social Worker (Family Advocacy) : Degree: Masters degree (or higher degree) in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized experience: To qualify on the basis of your experience your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS12 level in performing clinical assessments and case management related to family advocacy for an organization conducting clinical interviews of children and adults to assess patient needs creating treatment plans for individuals and/or children to ensure appropriate services are provided administering crisis intervention therapy to individuals who may have been subject to abuse and/or neglect and working with various agencies and/or organizations to convey adequate evaluation of relevant information and treatment services in accordance with program requirements. AND Licensure: A current active valid unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently offered by a U.S. State District of Columbia commonwealth territory or jurisdiction. AND Selective Placement Factor: This position requires incumbent has at least four years of post graduate clinical or counseling experience AND at least two years experience in field of domestic violence and/or child abuse and neglect.
