The Successful Applicant

Individual Occupational Requirement/Basic RequirementDegree: Social Work. Must fulfill all the requirements for the masters degree in social work in a school accredited by the Counsel on Social Work Education. Additional Qualifications:For GS12 grade level: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS11 or its non federal equivalent that demonstrates ability in supervising planning developing and executing a Human Services Program which includes a General Assistance Program providing financial assistance and counseling to reservation residents a Child Welfare Program providing direct financial assistance to Indian children requiring foster or institutional care protective and social casework sources to children foster parents and natural parents casework services to families and individuals providing counseling and consultation on social problems income planning consultation and technical advice to adult and juvenile tribal courts tribal officials and committees. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet timeingrade requirements by the announcement closing date. Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (title 25 USC Section 472).
