The Successful Applicant

This is an indefinite position tenure 3 with a time limit determined by the needs of the agency. Any permanent military technician who is selected for this position will become tenure 3. The selectee will receive the same benefits and entitlements as the tenure 1 employee but will be considered tenure 3 for purposes of reduction in force. You can be terminated at any time with a 30day notice. If a permanent resource becomes available incumbent may be converted to a permanent appointment without competition. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Social Work from a graduate school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and acceptable to The Surgeon General. Current professional unrestricted state license issued by a U.S. jurisdiction at a level allowing independent clinical social work practice. Valid state drivers license for the state in which you live or are principally employed in. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one year of experience equivalent to the GS11 level. Knowledge of social work theories principles techniques and resources with 24 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. This experience demonstrates particular competencies of knowledge skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have specialized experience in professional social work that includes interviewing people to establish the nature and extent of their problems helping them workout plans for improving the situation providing assistance and services referring them to community resources and other organizations as indicated and assisting them to understand and modify their own patterns of behavior when appropriate. This employer will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and if necessary the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with information from each new employees Form I9 to confirm work authorization. d.
