Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions Professional and Scientific Positions. KNOWLEDGES SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge skills abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of professional social work practices principles theories and administrative requirements to be able to apply them in clinical and operational unit settings. 2. Knowledge of professional evidencebased treatments for a full range of psychiatric disorders to plan and provide treatment to patients. 3. Knowledge of administration scoring and interpretation of select psychological and psychosocial measures to properly asses to engage appropriate protections as needed when risk of harm to the patient or others is present. 4. Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental Disorders to evaluate psychiatric disorders and apply professional diagnostic skills. 5. Skill in oral and written communication to include maintaining proper documentation of patient treatment and follow up. 6. Ability to provide guidance and consultation services to medical professionals and military leaders work well with others in a team approach and facilitate referrals to community or statebased human service agencies as needed e.g. to Protective Services or financial aid organizations
