The Successful Applicant
This position will be filled under the Pathways Internship Program. This Program allows students to gain paid work experience while pursuing a degree diploma or certificate at a qualifying institution. Under the Pathways Program students who successfully complete all work study qualifications and other eligibility requirements may be offered a permanent position work our agency upon graduation or completion of a qualifying certificate. At the Agencys discretion students hired under the Pathways Program may be noncompetitively converted to a term career or careerconditional appointment with a possible Full Performance Level (FPL) of GS05 GS07 GS09 GS11 GS12 or GS13 (FPL varies based on hiring department). You MUST be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited high school technical or vocational school twoyear or fouryear college or university graduate or professional school (go to www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation/ to verify accreditation status). Individuals who are enrolled must be taking at least a halftime academic vocational or technical course load leading to a degree diploma or certificate. You must provide evidence of your current (spring semester or equivalent) enrollment either on your transcript or by uploading a separate class schedule. If you are completing your current program this semester you must provide a letter of acceptance or proof of enrollment into another qualifying program to be rated eligible. AND Applicants must have at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA. MINIMUM GRADE LEVEL REQUIREMENTS: GS04: Applicants must meet the following requirements: Completion of 2 full academic years of posthigh school study or an associates degree. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer.
