The Successful Applicant

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Degree in social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the masters degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one year of specialized experience as a Social Worker at the GS11 level (or at a level comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS11 level if Military or outside the Federal service) If you are claiming veterans preference you MUST submit the appropriate documentation. Failure to do so WILL result in the loss of veterans preference. 10Point Veterans Preference: You MUST submit a signed SF15 Application for 10Point Veterans Preference plus the proof as required by the SF15. 5Point Veterans Preference: You MUST submit a copy of your DD214 which includes Character of Service (usually Member4 copy). If you are currently active duty you may submit written documentation (certification) from your branch of service certifying that you are expected to be discharged or released from active duty under honorable conditions no later than 120 days after the date the certification is signed.
