The Successful Applicant

You qualify at the GS09 level if you meet one of the following qualification requirements: BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet the requirements described in paragraphs A B or C below: A. have a bachelors or graduate/higher level degree in the behavioral or social sciences or related disciplines appropriate to this position. OR B. have a combination of education and experience that provided you with the knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR C. have four years of appropriate experience demonstrating that you have acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements noted above: To qualify for the GS9: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS07 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following types of tasks: participating in studies and analyses of social science program operations reviewing policies and procedures related to the social science program operations gathering and organizing statistical information to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of social science program operations. OR B. Completion of a Masters or equivalent graduate degree in an accredited or preaccredited college or university or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or possession of a LL.B. or J.D. if related OR A combination of education and specialized experience that meets the qualification requirements for this position. You will receive credit for all experience material to the position including experience gained in religious civic welfare service and organizational activities regardless of whether you received pay.
