The Successful Applicant

In order to qualify for a Social Worker GS0185 position you must have a masters degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition in order to meet the qualification requirements for a Social Worker GS0185 at the GS13 level you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS12 level in the Federal Service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following types of tasks: developing educational programs for supervisors and employees regarding Employee Assistance Program services and referral mechanisms leading the development and implementation of social work policies and programs evaluating and reporting on social work activities by assessing programming effectiveness design quality control/improvement and risk management measures and making psychosocial assessments of employees in a healthcare setting to identify factors having a bearing on their illness and recovery. You will receive credit for all experience material to the position including experience gained in religious civic welfare service and organizational activities regardless of whether you received pay.
