Basic Education Requirement: Successful completion of a full four (4) year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelors or graduate/higher level degree with a major study in behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position OR a combination of education and experience that provided you with the knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field OR four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that you have acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. AND In addition to the Basic Education Requirement you must also meet one of the following minimum requirements: Specialized Experience: You must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the knowledge skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this Social Science Program Specialist position. This experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS07 grade level in the Federal service and includes experience providing individual and group health coaching and experience planning and carrying out projects and analyses of an organizations program requirements. (This experience must be documented in your resume.) or Graduate Education: You may substitute specialized experience with education if you possess 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Masters degree or Masters or equivalent graduate degree that provided the knowledge skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (A transcript is required at the time of application. If the transcript does not show that a degree was conferred it may not be accepted as a substitution for specialized experience.) or Combination of Graduate Education and Experience: A combination of graduate level education and specialized experience may be qualifying if you possess equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education (above a Bachelors degree) and qualifying specialized experience (as described above) to meet the total qualification requirements.
