The Successful Applicant

Education cannot be credited without documentation.ANDSPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Requires two (2) years of experience which must have included 1 year in a medical setting as a social service welfare worker or social work assistant in a voluntary public social or health agency and equivalent to the next lower grade (GS7) in Federal service. Specialized experience includes interviewing patients and others for informational or service purposes handling referrals to social and health facilities obtaining and compiling data and similar types of work assisting patients families and nonpatients by counseling and/or making appropriate referrals with problems that are intangible in nature i.e. chronic medical and mental illness substance abuse homelessness and dementia.
