Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience if qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Social Worker (Family Advocacy): Degree: Masters degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interviewing victims offenders children and/or family members regarding allegations of domestic violence child abuse or neglect providing crisis intervention or therapy to abusers or victims of abuse developing treatment plans to those involved in abuse and providing administrative or technical oversight to others. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS12). Licensure: A current active valid unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently offered by a U.S. State District of Columbia commonwealth territory or jurisdiction. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Case Management Decision Making Education and Training Information Management Interpersonal Skills Therapy and Counseling Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS12).
