If parttime the hours must be annotated to be able to prorate the amount of qualified specialized experience. BASIC EDUCATION for the Social Scientist (Science Coordinator) GS0101: A. Degree: in behavioral or social science or closely related discipline directly related to this position. Note: You must submit your transcripts. OR B. Have a combination of education and experience that provided me with the knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Generally 24 semester hours of relative coursework is considered as equivalent to a major field of study. Experience must demonstrate you possess the knowledge skills and abilities required to perform the work of a Social Scientist demonstrating the ability to perform analysis writing critical thinking and research. Note: You must submit your transcripts. OR C. Have at least four years of appropriate experience that provided me with the knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Experience must demonstrate you possess the knowledge skills and abilities required to perform the work of a Social Scientist demonstrating the ability to perform analysis writing critical thinking and research. (You must document this experience in your application.) To qualify for this position at the GS13 grade level you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: Specialized Experience: Have at least one (1) year of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) specialized experience that provided me the knowledge skills and abilities to successfully perform the major duties of the Social Scientist (Science Coordinator) GS010113. Examples of specialized experience include but are not limited to the following: Develop and advance a research portfolio related to social and behavioral sciences under the general guidance of the supervisor or team leader. Advise Park and/or field staff ensuring project activities are executed in support of organizational priorities and in an efficient and timely manner. Lead develop and execute research projects using established and novel social science methods and analysis and is accountable for the delivery of data models findings decisionsupport tools and other research products. Ensure research work and work products assigned and completed by project teams are accurate valid reliable and in full compliance with all federal laws rules and regulations. Lead and manage vendor contract interactions or university partnerships to implement data collections. You must include hours per week worked. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
