The Successful Applicant
Basic Entry Requirements: Degree: behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS12 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: Provides guidance on the development and modification of research programs data analysis and scientific paper writing in the field of tribal crime. Serves as an expert in tribal crime justice and victimization leading peer review panels and formulating recommendations for funding. Offers analysis and/or advice on tribal crime justice and victimization program issues integrating current scientific knowledge and methods. Reviews and/or conducts complex analyses evaluations and investigations in support of tribal crime justice and victimization programs.
