The Successful Applicant

This position has a selective placement factor. This position is a TIER TWO clinical care provider. Applicants must meet all of the following requirements as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.8:1. State or U.S. territory license or certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner2. When the state or U.S. territory licensing or certification requirements include a written examination candidates for privileging must have achieved a passing score on that examination3. Possess at least a masters degree in one of following clinical fields: Minimum educational qualifications for Tier I clinical providers. (2) Licensure/certification by a state or U.S. territory that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner in the fields of Licensed Professional Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy Clinical Social Work Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology. (This is updated based on the new SECNAVINST 1754.8)4. Must have engaged in two years fulltime postmasters supervised clinical experience.Note: Your resume must support your answer and you must submit appropriate documents for verification (i.e. licensure certification transcripts etc.) In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying personal and social problems to independently reach accurate conclusions and to provide appropriate solutions 2) Clinically responding to the needs of clients in child and domestic abuse situations and 3) Documenting psychosocial assessments treatment plans and case review committee reports.
