The Successful Applicant
Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge skills and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate possesses the following: A Masters degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs or an equivalent degree or a Masters degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education or an equivalent degree or a Masters degree in Social Work from a graduate school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or an equivalent degree or a Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a 1year APA accredited clinical internship. A current valid unrestricted license or certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner in the fields of Licensed Professional Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy Clinical Social Work Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology. Two (2) years fulltime clinical experience post independent licensure or certification. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with family violence such as child physical abuse neglect child sexual abuse and domestic abuse/violence. Knowledge of family dysfunction and family violence including child physical abuse neglect child sexual abuse and domestic abuse/violence. Knowledge of current prevention and intervention skills and techniques and theories. Knowledge of family violence program management program planning development and execution. Ability to perform the fullrange of supervisory duties. Knowledge of Federal and agency regulations knowledge of the specific organizations program and missions as well as knowledge of pertinent laws regulations and policies related to program/operations area to consider their impact on programs. Ability to apply concepts in program management and implementation requirements determination policy development and supervisory skills. Knowledge and experience with qualitative and quantitative techniques for measuring and improving effectiveness efficiency and productivity of assigned programs. Skill in designing and conducting comprehensive studies and preparing solutions related to broad operational and contingency issues. Skill in analyzing and interpreting a wide variety of issues and formulating policy or procedural solutions. Knowledge of Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) organization and command structure mission and lifestyles. Knowledge of a wide range of current professional techniques theories practices and procedures of clinical psychology or social work to identify problems select and recommend appropriate practice models to use across target populations. Ability to effectively communicate and to prepare and deliver recommendations at management briefings.
