The Successful Applicant
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Basic Requirements: Degree: behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position. or Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. AND Specialized Experience: For the GS15 you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Managing activities of a division or a project to implement and coordinate efforts leading to the development of improved processes ensuring strategic goals and objectives are met AND Directing senior level analysts and support staff in planning developing and carrying out special projects to complete overall mission AND Providing direction and solutions to managers or policy stakeholders on new or revised policies and programs AND Developing and evaluating program policies regulations standards and procedures handbooks notices or memoranda. Experience may have been gained in either the public private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to fulltime work parttime work is considered on a prorated basis. TimeinGrade: In addition to the above requirements you must meet the following timeingrade requirement if applicable: For the GS15 you must have been at the GS14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
