The Successful Applicant

To be eligible for this program applicants must: (1) be enrolled or accepted for enrollment or and seeking a degree (diploma certificate) at a qualifying educational institution on a full or halftime basis (2) have a minimum cumulative (overall) GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 and (3) be in good academic standing. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious/spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Eligible applicants may qualify for this position based on education experience or a combination of education and experience. Education and experience requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Education: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education or eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) with completion of a bachelors degree. Qualifying Experience: CG07: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS05 level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: Academic or work experience in preparing and conducting preliminary analyses of data preparing tables and reviewing and proofing documents and data results. Experience using excel and knowledge of at least one of the following statistical packages: SAS STATA and/or R. Academic or experience conducting research assignments requiring planning information assembly analysis and evaluation conclusions and report preparation. Preferred majors: An academic major indata behavioralorsocial science with coursework in applied statistics or economic analysis. Examples of majors include: economics public policy data scientist behavioral scientist etc.
