Minimum Requirements GS12 In addition to the basic requirements applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade GS11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting social science research and developing written and/or oral presentations of the results Assisting teams or management in the development of organizational initiatives policies and practices and Researching and evaluating processes and making recommendations for effective operational change OR Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree (unofficial copy of transcripts must be submitted with application package) OR Applicants must have a combination of the education and experience above (unofficial copy of transcripts must be submitted with application package). Minimum Requirements GS13 In addition to all requirements above applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade GS12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting social science research and developing written and/or oral presentations of the results Assisting teams or management in the development of organizational initiatives policies and practices Researching and evaluating processes and making recommendations for effective operational change and Developing progress reports and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume should include the dates of all qualifying experience (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours worked/volunteered per week.
