WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Basic Qualifications Requirement: Degree: behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four (4) years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Specialized Experience (Minimum Qualification Requirement)In addition to the basic qualification requirement you must: Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: 1) Developing a collection of research to provide expert advice or guidance on the analysis of US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulation of medical or food products (i.e. drugs biological products medical devices or human food) medical product development and/or food safety or food science. 2) Designing and conducting public policy analysis research or evaluation of topics related to FDA regulation of medical or food products (i.e. drugs biological products medical devices or human food) medical product development and/or food safety or food science. 3) Leading workgroups and coordination across multiple science public health or biomedical programs fields or sectors related to FDA regulation of medical or food products (i.e. drugs biological products medical devices or human food) medical product development and/or food safety or food science. 4) Communicating results from policy analyses policy research or evaluation projects on issues relevant to FDA regulation of medical or food products (i.e. drugs biological products medical devices or human food) medical product development and/or food safety or food science. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment.
