The Successful Applicant
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess a Masters Degree in Social Work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and must possess a current unrestricted Connecticut state license to practice clinical social work independently. (You MUST submit a copy of your clinical license) SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 1 year of specialized experience in the following: Must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS11 grade level or higher in the Federal service performing the following duties: coordinating complex collaborative prevention efforts developing and maintaining resources and community partnerships participating in committee meetings regarding psychologically healthy lifestyles independently conducting needs assessments intake evaluations and psychodiagnostic assessments provide targeted assessments and evaluations which includes clinical impressions and recommendations performing comprehensive intake interviews assessing patient behaviors and determining causes for actions develop a formal evaluation process to monitor and assess programs developing and teaching of classes that enhance psychological and physical health and providing briefings and trainings to other healthcare workers and senior management AND have 24 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to perform program level responsibilities representing the social work program at conferences and in contacts with other agencies and the public subject to regulation and procedural direction from the program directors in the central office of the agency and to the local management control of the director the institutions medical facilities and clinics and correctional institutions. Skill to serve various beneficiary groups scattered over a large geographical are when assignments include direct social work practice in cases with complex problems organization of community services on behalf of beneficiaries by related staffs and satellite facilities and development and maintenance of working relationships and agreements with other organizations having responsibilities for the same groups of people. Knowledge of substantial accountability for program effectiveness modification of service patterns and promoting acceptance of the social work function.
