The Successful Applicant

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual Qualification Standards for Professional and Scientific Positions and Individual Occupational Requirements for GS0185 Social Work Series). BASIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Degree: Social Work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the MASTERS DEGREE in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: In addition to meeting the basic qualification requirement listed above applicants must have the following specialized experience: GS13: Qualifying is one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS12 grade level in the Federal service which includes work involving applying practical knowledge of a wide range of social casework family therapy systems theory and community organization direct provision of child welfare services maintaining active agency participation in the varied advocacy and intervention programs and the coordination of and required cooperation with allied social services health and other agencies providing counseling services developing and maintaining a formalized case management system which documents the workflow of case services with individual case plans provides technical assistance on all aspects of social services programs and activities and develops and supports program budget matters.
