Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience if qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Social Worker (Clinical): Degree: Masters degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes demonstrated experience assessing incidents of domestic abuse and/or child abuse/neglect cases interviewing victims offenders children and family members regarding allegations of abuse or neglect and developing treatment plans based on identified problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS11). Selective Placement Factor: This position requires 2 years of experience working in the field of child abuse and domestic abuse. License: A current active valid and unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently from a State the District of Columbia the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or a territory of the United States. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Interpersonal Skills Problem Solving Psychology Therapy and Counseling Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS11).
