The Successful Applicant
Who May Apply: US Citizens Education Requirement: Have a masters degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) License Requirement: This position requires a current active valid unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently offered by a U.S. State District of Columbia commonwealth territory or jurisdiction. Do you possess a current active valid unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently (Note: You must attach a copy of your license.) In order to qualify you must meet the experience or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience if qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS11 grade level in the Federal service which includes the following. Evaluate incoming participants through a detailed substance use history and biopsychosocial examination and/or other related information to substantiated or rule out diagnosis of substance abuse. Develop and implement a comprehensive treatment plan for assigned patients. Assess the patients problems expressed and implied needs and Formulate treatment goals for individual patients to address identified problem areas. Assist with providing professional counseling to substance abuse patients. Education Substitution for Experience For this position education cannot be used to replace specialized experience.
