The Successful Applicant

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is:This position is a TIER THREE clinical care provider. Applicants must meet all of the following qualifications as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.7A: State or U.S. territory license or certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner. When the state or U.S. territory licensing or certification requirements include a written examination candidates for privileging must have achieved a passing score on that examination. Possess at least a masters degree in one of following clinical fields: Marriage and Family Therapy from a program accredited by Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education or an equivalent degree OR Social Work from a school accredited by Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or an equivalent degree OR Psychology from a doctoral program approved by APA or an equivalent degree. Have engaged in 2 years that includes at least 2000 hours fulltime postmasters supervised clinical experience.Two years post licensure that includes at least 2000 hours post licensure or 4000 hours post graduate degree fulltime clinical experience in a clinical setting. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Providing group treatment programs to address the variety of clinical issues with the scope of command services2) Assessing individual and family needs to establish treatment plans with behaviorally specific goals and objectives3) Identifying crisis situations (e.g. suicidal or homicide risk danger of physical or sexual abuse to family members increased risk of further family violence) through clinical assessment to provide crisis intervention and safety planning and4) Conducting clinical counseling and family advocacy services in accordance with regulations and policies.NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position.
