BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree or higher doctoral degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS GS12:Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include: Professional knowledge of social work to provide a variety of treatment modalities and their application including individual family psychotherapy and case consultation Knowledge and specialized experience in using the Diagnostic System of Mental Health Disorders (DSM)Competence with DSM for differential diagnosis and treatment planning Knowledge of psychological principles and processes and psychotropic medications and Ability to perform extensive research and evaluation. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: Must have ability to independently perform clinical social work functions with demonstration of advanced knowledge and skill in the management of complex social work scenarios as indicated by possession of one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
